| Production Sectors and Clusters |
The Furniture Cluster ("Distretto del Mobile") of Veneto and Friuli covers a large territory stretching from Eastern Piave, in the province of Treviso (for a total of 19 municipalities), to the Sacile area, in the province of Pordenone (with other 9 municipalities), encompassing almost 30 villages as a whole.
Originally there were two distinct districts - Northern Livenza and Quartier del Piave. As the time passed, they expanded up to almost joining each other.
Today, the furniture sector employs approximately 11,000 people and, in general, the Cluster is the largest area of furniture production at a national level. The production ranges from house furniture to office furniture and components, covering mid-market range products.
Today, the average dimensions of companies in the district of Oderzo and Motta di Livenza are definitely large, above regional standards. They employ 61% of total manufacturing workers in the Pordenone area and 47% in the Treviso area.

The district employs 11,000 people and has 1,500 million euro total sales proceeds per year.
The district competitive power is based on respect for tradition, as well as on professionalism and strong specialisation in the production of timber and furniture. All these elements support industrial activities. Friuli Venezia Giulia exports approximately one fifth of the Italian production of furniture.
