Networks of Slovenian enterprises
In the context of the PRIMe-Primorska enterprise project, the Slovenian Ministry for economy in cooperation with the centre for the development of SME has financed the creation of 11 concentrations of Slovenian and Italian enterprises, denominated LBN-Local Business Networks.
A LBN-Local business network is a geographical concentration of enterprises (mainly SME) and research centres interconnected in the context of the value chain of a product or service, offering a great potential for the development of a territory with a diameter of approximately 50 km.
Presently, 11 LBN are active, operating in the following sectors: renewable energy, timber and furniture, machinery, compound materials and plastics, metallurgy, printing, environment, tourism.
